The Long Road: Announcing Our Launch Date

It’s been a long road full of bumps and roadblocks, but our destination is finally in sight. We’re delighted to announce that The Untold Adventures will be launching with its first episode, ‘A Citizen of the Universe’, on the 5th of December 2025, marking a decade since the airing of ‘Hell Bent’.

In a way, this feels like the day we were always heading for. When we first started this project all those years ago, we had no idea what it would grow into. At points, trying to reach the finish line has felt like punching a wall of solid Azbantium, more often than not simply because of real life throwing its punches. But in the spirit of Clara Oswald, we never gave up. This is a fan collaboration filled with love for these characters and this universe. It’s a pure passion project that arose from an eagerness to explore what might have happened if, after that final shot of ‘Hell Bent’, we followed the diner instead of the police box. We hope you’ll enjoy reading the story as much as we’ve enjoyed working on it. While Doctor Who itself is on hiatus, hopefully our series will make the break a little more bearable.

The novel-length series opener serves as both a follow-up to the Series 9 finale and a pilot of sorts for The Untold Adventures. It’s a high fantasy inspired epic that throws Clara and Me right into the deep end, calling back to the past while leaving plenty of teases for what’s to come. The subsequent episodes will be released as they are completed; we're aiming for a semi-regular schedule, but we’ll be able to provide more concrete details closer to launch.
